DIY INTENSIVE HAIR CONDITIONING MASK

SUPER SOFT HAIR IN 5 EASY STEPS…

Did you look in the mirror this morning and see frizzy, dry, damaged or dull hair and wonder why it just isn’t doing that lovely flowing thing that it’s supposed to do?

Pollution, over-washing, heat styling, cold weather and diet are all contributing factors to the health of our hair. So with the clocks going forward and some warmer weather on the horizon we thought we’d share with you a scrumptious, quick fix hair mask to get your hair out of the winter slump.

INGREDIENTS:
2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
2 Tbsp Honey
1 Egg Yolk
2 drops of Lavender or Peppermint essential oil (Optional)

NOTE: If you are lucky enough to have hair like Rapunzel, you may need to increase the amounts.

METHOD:

1. Melt the coconut oil and honey together in a pan over a very gentle heat
– You’re not trying to cook them just get them to a runny consistency.

2. Remove from the heat and add the whisked egg yolk
– Make sure your mixture is not too hot for this part or you’ll have scrambled eggs!

3. Now if you happen to have any Lavender or Peppermint essential oils hiding in a drawer you can add a couple of drops. (Optional)

4. Rub it into you scalp and through to the ends of your hair
– Use a wide toothed comb if you need to. Then clip your hair up and leave it on for at least 30 minutes. The longer the better, even overnight. It’s best applied to damp hair as wetting the hair makes it more porous so you’ll get the mask right into the hair shaft.

5. Wash it off with your usual routine and marvel at you super soft and lovely hair!

Repeat as often as you’d like.
